How to factor polynomials? Here is how... Just type your expression in the box and hit the button below the latter... This would be the easiest way so far ;). Well, math is a serious science and I suggest you use this calculator only to check your work on factoring. This is a cool widget provided by http://www.wolframalpha.com/.

You should type your expression using the mathematical signs from programming languages:
basic operations are:

+, -, /, *. (plus, minus, division, multiplication)

^ is the power operator - 5 ^ 2 = 25 ; 4 ^ 2 = 16

You can use trigonometry, you can type any equation here... try it!

Factoring polynomial expressions is not quite the same as factoring numbers, but the concept is very similar. When factoring numbers or factoring polynomials, you are finding numbers or polynomials that divide out evenly from the original numbers or polynomials.
